Some projects stay with you long after construction is complete, and our Unionville Residence renovation is certainly one of them. We’re honoured that this renovation was featured in Our Homes Magazine Best of Ontario, but what makes this project special isn’t simply the recognition. It’s the story behind the home and the thoughtful transformation that made it worthy of being featured.
This renovation reflects the design philosophy you’ll find throughout our portfolio: creating homes that feel timeless, functional, and deeply personal. While every project is unique, they all begin with the same goal, to design spaces that improve the way people live every day.

A Home With History, Designed for Today
From the beginning, the intention wasn’t to completely reinvent the house. The home already had beautiful character, and preserving that sense of warmth became just as important as introducing modern functionality.
The layout was carefully reworked to create better flow between spaces, improve everyday living, and make the home feel brighter and more connected. Rather than following short-lived trends, we focused on timeless materials, thoughtful details, and a design that will continue to feel relevant for years to come.
If you’d like to see the complete transformation, you can explore the full Unionville Residence project in our Residential Portfolio, where we share the renovation from concept through completion.

A Balance of Simplicity and Personality
One of our favourite aspects of this project is how every room feels connected while still expressing its own character. Clean architectural lines and Scandinavian-inspired simplicity create a calm foundation. Carefully selected colours, textures, and custom millwork add warmth throughout the home. The result is elegant without feeling formal, modern without losing its sense of comfort.
Along the way, we also shared a closer look at several individual spaces, including the Unionville Residence Transformation, the Unionville Home Retreat, the Unionville Kitchen Transformation, and the Unionville Mudroom Renovation. Each of them highlighting different design decisions that came together to shape the finished home.

Designed Around Everyday Living
Beautiful spaces should also work beautifully. The kitchen became the natural heart of the home, designed to encourage gathering, entertaining, and everyday family life. An improved layout, generous work surfaces, dedicated breakfast area, and carefully planned storage created a space that feels open, welcoming, and highly functional.
Elsewhere, custom millwork, integrated storage, and thoughtful room layouts help every area serve a purpose without sacrificing comfort or style. Throughout the renovation, every decision was guided by how the homeowners would actually experience the space day after day.
Why Unionville Residence Renovation Was Worth Featuring
Being featured by Our Homes Magazine was a wonderful surprise, but more than anything, it reminded us why projects like this matter.
Great renovations aren’t about making a home look new. They’re about respecting what already exists while creating spaces that support the next chapter of everyday life. When thoughtful planning, timeless design, and practical functionality come together, the result is a home that feels both beautiful and effortless to live in.
We’re grateful to Our Homes Magazine for recognizing the project, and even more grateful to our clients for trusting us with their home.
